A snake snake story from France

by Donatienne Binard

Before I hear from you - soon, I hope ;-) -  I want to share my feelings about "A snake from under the skin" with you.

I think this gripping story can serve "Character Education" : while reading, ask yourself what a child can also learn from this story about   Respect : "Respect the things you own and respect those that others own. Show concern and respect for the others." Responsibility : "Follow the rules by doing what is expected of you. Accept consequences of your choices." Fairness : "Conform to the law and don't take advantage of others." Trustworthiness : "Have the courage to make the right choice, even when no one is watching you."

"A snake from under the skin" is my English version of a scary story in French ( for children of 8 and over ) called "Un serpent dans la peau", written by Philippe TASSEL, a Parisian Primary teacher ( well known for his free school handwriting font called Ducahier ) .

Life is so unfair ! Peter takes action to live in HIS OWN world thanks to a mysterious book. But nothing goes according to plan …

This story is made up of five short chapters.

The illustrator of the story is Martine BELOT.
Her front cover is a volcano belching out a three-headed snake!
